If your ear problem is affecting your self-esteem, our otoplasty procedure can help.

If you are unhappy with the appearance of your ears, you’re a good candidate for this ear surgery. Most patients who had the surgery report a high satisfaction rate. Aside from improving your appearance, this procedure can also increase your self-esteem. This in turn improves your quality of life.

The procedure reshapes your ear cartilage with the help of sutures. This allows your ears to look more natural without anyone knowing that you had an ear surgery.

In Perth, Dr Anh will perform the surgery using anaesthesia to reduce discomforts. Depending on your condition after the procedure, you may need to stay overnight. Once your condition is stable, you may go home the next day. During your consultation, Dr Anh will discuss all you need to know about the procedure.

What is otoplasty?

This surgery improves the appearance of your ears by reshaping your ear cartilage. With the use of sutures, your surgeon secures your ears in place so that they are in proportion with your face. Once your wounds have completely healed, you will notice that you ears are more pleasing to look at.

How is otoplasty performed?

To prevent any discomfort, your surgeon will inject a local anaesthetic in the outer part of your ear. An incision is then created behind your ears to hide scars. Your surgeon will remove excess skin to expose your ear cartilage. The cartilage is then reshaped using sutures to secure them in the desired position. After the surgery, you will need to wear bandages to protect your ears.
