Dr Anh Nguyen

Dr Anh obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours from the University of Melbourne in 2001. She completed her internship and basic surgical training at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne. Dr Anh then obtained a postgraduate diploma in surgical anatomy at the University of Melbourne, whilst teaching anatomy to medical, dental and physiotherapy students.
She commenced her advanced surgical training in general surgery at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, before she moved to Perth to commence specialist training in plastic and reconstructive surgery. She obtained her fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in plastic and reconstructive surgery in 2010.
Prestigious achievement
Dr Anh completed the prestigious aesthetic fellowship at The Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery, before returning to Perth to commence private practice, where she worked under one of the best surgeons in Perth for many years. She has presented at international and national conferences on her research into breast aesthetics, breast augmentation, labiaplasty, lawn mower injuries, rural trauma, thromboprophylaxis in burns patients and leadership in medical students.

Dr Anh is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, The Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the Western Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr Anh is committed to teaching and training the next generation of plastic surgeons and devotes a day a week to her consultant role in the public health system at Fiona Stanley hospital. She also mentors medical and nursing students, and entrepreneurs.
Dr Anh consults from her Perth CDB Clinic and Dr Anh’s Medispa located in the Crown Metropol, Burswood. Dr Anh operates at Joondalup Private Hospital and St. John of God Mount Lawley.
Dr Anh was named Business Entrepreneur of the Year WA at the prestigious Telstra Business Women’s Awards 2017. She also received a Highly Commended at the MyFaceMyBody Awards 2017 for Best Plastic Surgeon and was named Best Medispa of the Year Australasia. Her most recent achievement was winning the 2018 Ausmumpreneur People’s Choice Award for Making A Difference in Business.

Outside of a busy plastic surgery practice, Dr Anh’s other role is as a mother to her young children. Being a mother has given Dr Anh insight and compassion when it comes to helping men and women overcome any insecurities or concerns they may have.

Dr Anh believes that women should celebrate their achievements and be proud of their bodies. As a woman, she understands that women may feel insecure and unhappy with their appearance and this can have a negative impact on their self-esteem and confidence.

Dr Aleks has an eye for detail, a passion for helping people look their beautiful best while still looking natural and well and believes this is achievable through individual tailored treatments plans and good patient education. She has a passion for learning and is committed to continuing professional education and developing her knowledge and skills.
Outside of working as a cosmetic physician, she is a busy GP, mother to an 18-month-old daughter and loves yoga, surfing and the outdoors.

In 2014 Rob was privileged to obtain a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Warwick Business School – one of the top 25 business schools in the world. His thesis looking at how LEAN principles can be applied to plastic surgery services was awarded a distinction.
Having completed the Intercollegiate FRCS Plastic surgery exam in 2015, Rob travelled to Perth to gain further exposure to complex reconstructions at Fiona Stanley Hospital, using a variety of microsurgical procedures. Following this fellowship he returned to London to undertake a coveted aesthetic fellowship at the London Clinic on Harley street, working with and learning from world renowned surgeons including Charles East, David Ross and Paul Harris.
Rob currently has 18 peer reviewed scientific articles and numerous national and international presentations on a wide variety of plastic surgery topics.
Outside of work, he is a proud husband and father. He loves sport and has participated in both the Rottnest and Cottesloe triathlons.
