Allow your skin to breathe. Our medispa has all of the latest non surgical treatments available to clear enlarged pores and restore healthy skin, including HydraFacial, skin needling and laser treatments.
What are open pores?
Your skin is the largest organ in your body. The skin contains millions of pores, most of which aren’t visible to the human eye. These pores allow your skin to breathe, keeping your skin clear and healthy.
We all are prone to the appearance of large, open pores, no matter if your skin is oily, normal and dry. The appearance of enlarged pores may give your skin a dull appearance, especially if they become clogged with dirt, oil or dead skin cells. If left untreated, this can lead to blackheads or acne.
The truth is, pores are always open and cannot be closed or made smaller. When we talk about treating open pores, what we’re really referring to is a deep cleanse to remove excess oil and debris. This will make open pores appear as if they have shrunken or closed.
What causes the pores to open?
When your skin produces excess oil and mixes with a build-up of pollutants, the pores become clogged, making them appear larger. There are a number of factors that could impact the apparent size of your pores. These may include:
- Unsuitable skin care or makeup products
- Reduced elasticity around the pores
- Reduced collagen production, typically with age
- Thick hair follicles
- Sun damage
Wishing to minimise the appearance of enlarged pores? We can treat your skin to a thorough cleanse for a healthy appearance using a number of medical grade technologies. Here at Dr Anh’s Medispa, we offer a number of treatments to clean out clogged pores, including:
HydraFacial for enlarged pores
HydraFacial skin resurfacing treatments thoroughly treat the skin through cleansing, exfoliation and hydration. Using unique, patented Vortex-Fusion technology, HydraFacial creates a vortex effect to easily lift dirt and impurities out of your pores, leaving behind a smoother, clearer, healthier appearance.
Dermapen for enlarged pores
Dermapen microneedling treatments encourage collagen production and skin renewal by making thousands of micro-punctures in the skin. As the skin’s natural wound healing response is activated, the new collagen works to plump up and tighten the appearance of enlarged pores, making them appear smaller.
Fraxel for enlarged pores
Fraxel laser treatments work to completely resurface the skin, ultimately resulting in an improvement in the appearance of enlarged pores. Treatments target damaged skin cells with microscopic laser columns that penetrate the skin’s surface. This process encourages the production of new, healthy collagen, which fills in pores and tightens the skin.
Chemical peels for enlarged pores
Chemical peels involve the application of a chemical solution to the skin, which works to remove the skin’s top layer. Depending on the solution used, a chemical peel can deeply penetrate the skin and remove any congested sebum and debris that contributes to the appearance of large pores.
We offer a wide range of solutions for the appearance of enlarged pores, but which is best for you? By booking a consultation with Dr Anh, we can work together to develop a personalised treatment plan to best suit your skin’s needs.
