Crow’s Feet

Anti-wrinkle injections, laser treatments, skin tightening and more

Deep, etched lines around the eyes can leave you looking older than you really feel. Our medispa has all of the latest non surgical treatments available to reduce the appearance of crow’s feet, including anti-wrinkle injections, laser treatments, skin tightening and more.

What are crow’s feet?

Crow’s feet are the fine lines that radiate from the corners of the eyes. These lines are most pronounced when you use the muscles around the eye and are particularly evident when you smile, laugh or squint.

Crow’s feet develop gradually with age. Nobody is immune to these creases, although they may be more prominent in some people. In some cases, crow’s feet are small, while in others they drape all the way down the cheek. The depth of your crow’s feet is dependent on your underlying bone structure, skin quality and soft tissue volume.

What causes crow’s feet to appear?

Crow’s feet are typically the result of constant skin movement and a loss of skin elasticity and collagen in the skin. As we age, our eye tissue loses its stretch and plumpness, becoming more susceptible to sun damage and environmental irritants.

Additionally, the facial muscles around our eyes are constantly moving, as we blink, smile and squint. In fact, we blink around 15 to 20 times a minute, causing our facial muscles to crinkle.

Because of this, crow’s feet are often one of the first types of wrinkles to develop, appearing from as young as the mid to late twenties. After all, the eye contour has the thinnest skin on the entire body, meaning that the area tends to lose collagen and display the signs of age first.

Our solutions

Concerned about the appearance of creases around the eyes? Depending on the extent of your crow’s feet and other skin concerns, we can help minimise lines using a number of medical grade technologies. Here at Dr Anh’s Medispa, we offer a number of treatments to reduce crow’s feet, including:

Anti-wrinkle injections for crow’s feet

Anti-wrinkle injections are the most common treatment for crow’s feet. These injections cause the muscles responsible to relax, meaning that they can no longer continue to bunch the overlying skin around the eyes. With time and continued treatments, existing crow’s lines will soften and new lines will be unable to form.

CO2 laser For crow’s feet

CO2 laser resurfacing is an ablative therapy technique that removes the upper layers of skin. By heating up several layers of the skin, CO2 laser treatments promote collagen regeneration, which can help the skin around the eyes heal in a smoother, more even way.

Fraxel for crow’s feet

Fraxel laser treatments work to resurface the skin by penetrating deep into the dermal layer to target damaged, ageing skin cells. This works to stimulate new collagen production and skin renewal, ultimately revealing smoother, firmer, less-lined skin.

Chemical peels for crow’s feet

Chemical peels work by placing a chemical solution on the skin that removes the outer layers of older skin, revealing newer, smoother skin. Chemical peels are a great way to improve the appearance of crow’s feet and promote healthier, younger looking skin.

Dermapen for crow’s feet

Dermapen skin needling treatments involve making thousand of micro-punctures to the skin in order to stimulate collagen creation and skin renewal. The skin will thicken and plump up as it heals, minimising the appearance of crow’s feet. Skin needling is a highly effective treatment and a great alternative to injectables and laser.

Exilis for crow’s feet

Exilis is a skin tightening treatment that uses radiofrequency to target the eye area, along with other areas of the body. Exilis treatments heat the targeted area of skin, which stimulates the production of collagen. This works to tighten skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, such as crow’s feet.

PRP for crow’s feet

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy involves extracting the plasma from your own blood and injecting it back into the skin. Growth factors in your blood stimulate cellular repair, whilst the injections themselves create micro traumas in the skin to encourage new collagen production, which is the key to youthful skin.
