Coronavirus and plastic surgery

Information about our clinic operations during coronavirus

Update 25 March 2020:

Our Clinic Goes Virtual

As we move to the next phase of the response to coronavirus, we have taken the decision to close our clinic from Friday 27 March at 5pm. We simply have to put the health of our patients, team and community first. But we are still here to support you and any research you are doing about your options for breast and body surgery once life returns to normal.

Our team is still here to

support you by phone and online

From Monday 30 March we have some of our team working from home and available on our mobile phone during shortened hours of 9am – 12pm Monday to Friday. Please call 1300 837 264 for details. They will also be responding to emails during those hours.

Dr Anh –

video consultations

We had months of consultations booked and we don’t want to disappoint those women. So we now offer patients phone or video consultations instead. We are in the process of contacting patients with existing bookings. New consultations need to be booked by phone (see details above about contacting our virtual team) and we will then send you the details about how to prepare for your consultation.

These virtual consultations are at a reduced fee of $200 reflecting that a Medicare rebate will not be available.

Where will I have my post-operative

visits from recent surgery?

Our clinics are managing most patient reviews by phone and email. For dressing changes or drain removal, our nurses will perform these appointments in our rooms from Monday. Please continue to follow the government’s advice and not come in if you are unwell or may have been exposed to the virus.

What about my

upcoming surgery?

We are contacting patients directly about their scheduled surgery after closure. Any patient who has surgery delayed due to this situation can have a full refund or choose to retain their place in the surgical ‘queue’ once we are able to operate again.

When will

the clinic reopen?

We hope by 1 June but we don’t know for sure. We will update our existing patients and our newsletter list once we know a reopening date, so make sure you subscribe to our newsletter using the contact form at the bottom of this page.

Other

updates

Progress updates will be available on our this page and our social media (@dranh_femaleplasticsurgeon) on both Facebook and Instagram.

Our

thanks

And finally, this is a hard time for everyone. We just hope everything closes soon so we can try to stamp this virus out and once that happens, we look forward to celebrating a renewed appreciation for the simple things.

Thank you to our team for staying focused during this time, our patients for being understanding and to the nurses, doctors and others working on the frontline to keep us safe.
